Vocal Music Educator Grants,
Vocal Music Student Scholarships & Awards
The River Cities Jubilee Chorus believes strongly in supporting vocal
music education for area youth. Every year our Chorus sponsors the following
grants, scholarships, and awards:
- On April 22nd, 2008, the
Chorus awarded
$100 grants to all Caddo Parish middle and high-school vocal music educators, for a total of $1,600!
These grants are for enhancing their vocal music curricula for their students.
Plus, we are providing free sheet music!
- We regret that the Chapter will not be offering the Jim Stone Vocal Music Scholarship for 2010. It’s our goal to bring this back in 2011.
- The Chorus sponsors a Vocal Music Performance Award at
ArtBreak.
This award carries a $100.00 cash award and a plaque from
SRAC.
The Chorus has been supporting this award for four years now and each year
we are stunned by the talent that hits the stage. The recipient is invited
to perform at a Chorus rehearsal.
